Everything about type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder that occurs when the body becomes resistant to insulin or is unable to produce enough insulin to regulate blood sugar levels effectively. Unlike type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes is not an autoimmune disorder and is often associated with lifestyle factors such as obesity, physical inactivity, and poor diet.

Type 2 diabetes is more common in adults, but it can occur at any age. Symptoms of type 2 diabetes are similar to those of type 1 diabetes and include increased thirst and urination, fatigue, blurred vision, and slow-healing wounds.

Treatment for type 2 diabetes typically involves lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet and increasing physical activity, along with medication to lower blood sugar levels. In some cases, insulin therapy may also be necessary.

Managing type 2 diabetes can be challenging, but with proper treatment and self-care, people with this condition can lead healthy and fulfilling lives. However, if left untreated or poorly managed, type 2 diabetes can lead to serious complications such as nerve damage, kidney damage, cardiovascular disease, and even blindness.
